Lubrication keeps all troubles at bay

Our cars should last as long as possible. When you buy a new car—say, for around a hundred thousand, since we’re in a budget-friendly region—you expect it to serve you perfectly well for at least a few years. Of course, it probably won’t be a powerhouse in terms of performance or fuel efficiency, but a car is still a car. Thanks to a car, you can get around efficiently and effectively. And sometimes that’s more than enough. In any case, it’s important to take care of that car, because on its own, if we just use it, it won’t fix itself. Maybe someday in the future, when we have smart cars that drive themselves in addition to smart homes, the car will take care of itself—buying quality paints and lubricants on its own, inflating its tires, or patching a hole. Until then, however, it’s all up to us and our conscience.

Think of it as an investment. You’ve just put a significant amount of money into something you’ll use every day. A car like this can easily last much longer—after all, some cars are still running after a hundred years. But it’s all about care. Just look at cars that nobody takes care of. They must really suffer. And who wouldn’t suffer? Imagine if you ate nothing but fast food your whole life and always had a glass of beer instead of water. Or even worse—you’d have some sugary drink instead of water. You might even enjoy it for the first few days; after all, fast food is cheap and you can eat “well” there. But after a few weeks, mild health problems would start to appear. Overall, it would be a very short life, because aside from obesity, you’d be failing on just about every front. And, for that matter, it’s the same with the car. If you only give it some quick fixes and only take it in for a proper checkup at the mechanic’s once a year, it won’t last very long.

Your wallet might take a hit after all that, but the result will be completely different.
